Bader Al-Nashi often appears in American diplomacy correspondences, as disclosed by Wikileaks. He is carefully listened by the embassy which takes up his analyzes verbatim, notably when he states that Hadas can be a factor of moderation in the region. He claims in particular that he is able to influence the decisions of radical Sunnis in Iraq.

The brother of Bader Al-Nashi, Salem Al-Nashi, is the spokesman for the Salafi Islamic Grouping.

Another member of his family, Hamad Al-Nashi, fights against unveiled women. On 28 October 2009, the Constitutional Court rejected a claim lodged by lawyer Hamad Al-Nashi against two non-veiled deputies. The latter had demanded that they be definitively excluded from parliament for violating the Sharia. The court ruled that “individuals are not obliged to respect Islamic Shari’a regulations, in the same way as they must abide by [the State] fundamental laws, unless the legislator stipulates the contrary … The Kuwaiti Constitution does not provide that Sharia is the sole source of legislation and does not prohibit the legislator from resorting to other sources [of legislation] in the name of respecting people [needs]. Moreover, the Constitution guarantees total religious and individual freedoms and prohibits discrimination … on grounds of religion or gender “.

ANAS HAJJAR

Anas Hajjar

04.04.2015 La rédaction

Anas Hajjar was born in Damascus (Syria) in 1969.

He moved to Finland in 1988 and studied medicine.

On 9 November 2010, he was elected as Imam of the Islamic Society of Finland, following the death of Imam Khodr Chehab.

According to the Imam, sexual acts outside marriage are a sin. Hajjar has nothing against cutting a thief’s hand. Regarding imams’ training, he states that Muslims cannot receive religious instruction from non-Muslims. Hajjar condemns certain aspects of the Islamic State, but does not give further details about them.

These stances do not prevent him from being described by the media as moderate and open to interreligious dialogue.

In November 2014, the United Arab Emirates declared his Suomen Islam-seurakunta (Finnish Islamic Association) association as a terrorist organization.

In 2015, the Finnish public television, Yle, entrusted to Anas Hajjar and Jaakko Hameen-Anttila (who translated the Qur’an into Finnish) the preparation of a series of 60 episodes consisting of read the Quran from the first to the last page and “discussing it”. In the course of an interview by the BBC which is considering buying the series, Jaakko Hameen-Anttila explains: “Iman Hajjar finds considers the practical side and contemporary importance of the text, while I see a historical work in it, which relates to the period of its creation”.

By entrusting this gigantic educational mission to the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, Finland breaks its tie with its 500-year-old Muslim community, which does not have a political vision of Islam.

RACHID MESLI

Rachid Mesli

04.04.2015 La rédaction

A lawyer in Criminal Law in Algeria, Rachid Mesli has defended many detainees following the cessation of the legislative electoral process in January 1992.

According to his biography, he was kidnapped by security forces on 31 July 1996, and then detained for three years after being repeatedly beaten, threatened, and convicted following a trial that “clearly violated international standards for a fair trial “according to Amnesty International. He was later sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment in absentia in Algeria.

The site Rue 89 posted an article praising him and explained why Algeria is after him:

“I have always embarrassed the authorities of my country by taking care of political prisoners. They went mad when I submitted the files of Abbassi Madani and Ali Belhadj in 2001 to the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, which recognized that the two FIS (Islamic Salvation Front) leaders had been detained following an unfair trial. Last year, the Human Rights Committee also condemned Algeria for these same cases. “(Rue 89)

Rachid Mesli moved to Geneva in 2000.

For a long time, he was the spokesman of the Arab Commission on Human Rights, which co-publishes an anti-Semitic leaflet since 2002 called: “The Jewish-Nazi Manifesto of Ariel Sharon”.

He co-founded Al Karama in 2004, a foundation whose links with Al Qaeda and its admirers are regularly questioned.

In 2014, Alkarama Foundation was included on the list of terrorist organizations issued by the United Arab Emirates.

MOHAMED-TAÏEB SAGHROUNI

Mohamed-Taïeb Saghrouni is the UOIF Regional Delegate – North.

He is also the president of the “Tunisiens des deux rives” Association (Tunisians on Both Shores).

According to Mohamed Louizi, who has long been a member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Northern France, Mohamed-Taïeb Saghrouni is the man behind Amar Lasfar. He is also his ideological foundation.

“(Behind) Amar Lasfar, hides another serious and scowling face, that of Mohammed-Taïeb Saghrouni, a face which should raise serious concerns. This man is a living memory and a very active member of the qotbist school of thought. He was also the “guardian of the seal of allegiance” in the region, and I cannot confirm that it is no longer the case. Until 2006, one could not be co-opted to join the brotherhood, without his blessing. In Egypy, Mahmoud Ezzat used to hide behind the Supreme Guide, Mohamed Badie. In France, behind the ideological background of Amar Lasfar, there has always been, of course, Mohammed- Taïeb Saghrouni!”

The qotbist position of Mohamed-Taïeb Saghrouni Association does not even hide.

The “Tunisiens des deux rives” Association regularly carries out spectacular actions to support the Muslim Brotherhood. In the image below, it amalgamates Muslim Brotherhood prisoners with prisoners dressed in orange. These clothes are typically put on by American prisoners and by those to be beheaded by the Islamic State.

AbulElah Shyea received the Alkarama Human Rights Award on 10 December 2013.

Based in Geneva, Al Karama Foundation is as a human rights organization.

Al Karama handed him the award for revealing that US drones had made civilian casualties. And as a matter of fact, the Yemeni journalist denounced the 17 December 2009 attack on the village of Al-Ma’jalah, which resulted in 55 civilian casualties, including 14 women and 21 children. Since that time, he is considered as a specialist of American blunders.

On his website, AbulElah Shyea reveals that he was imprisoned between 2010 and 2013 “on the orders of President Obama.” Al-Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki (an American of Yemeni origin) who was killed by a US drone in 2011 had supported Al Shaey during his imprisonment.

A few days before receiving the award, AbulElah Shyea posted a tweet on Fort Hood and Boston attacks and was delighted at terrorists’ age.

In the same vein, he declared on his Facebook page that “Jewish gangs control America.”

Le Temps newspaper attempted to determine whether it was appropriate to give the Alkarama Human Rights Award to AbulElah Shyea.

Mourad Dhina, Foundation spokesperson, declared the following:

“We condemn Shyea remarks. However, he is in a very fragile psychological situation. We wondered whether we should withdraw the award, but we felt that his battle against drones was more important than his tweets.”

AHMED ABD EL-ZAHER AND THE RABIA SIGN

Ahmed Abd El-Zaher and the Rabia Sign

Ahmed Abd El-Zaher, Al-Ahly Cairo player, made the Rabia sign during the Champions League match. The Rabia, and its little yellow hand, have become a rallying cry for the Muslim Brotherhood and their supporters.

Beyond solidarity with victims of repression, the Rabia has a mystical meaning. Each finger of the Tamkeen hand represents a step in the taking of power.

Ahmed Abd El-Zaher was a great player in Egypt, and was even considered the better scorer in 2011.

Many sports commentators protested against this sign. Hassan al-Mestkawy thus declared that mixing politics and sports was “unacceptable”. Especially that waving the Rabia sign during the match could have triggered outbursts between Morsi’s supporters and opponents. Deadly riots already took place in Egypt stadiums.

Following this incident, Ahmed Abd El-Zaher is suspended. He now plays for Al-Ittihad in Libya.

Azzedine Gaci is a member of the UOIF-BE, in charge of inter-religious dialogue.

He came to France in 1986 to finish his studies. He is a teacher and researcher at the Ecole Supérieure de Chimie-Physique-Electronique in Lyon.

He is also the rector of the Othmane mosque in Villeurbanne, and has always used inter-religious dialogue as a means to ease tensions. He long declared to be independent, until he was appointed to the UOIF office.

Azzedine Gaci was one of the religious leaders who called for demonstrations during the Manif pour tous (a French anti-gay marriage protest).

“It is important to show that we share other parties’ concerns on a text that will dismantle the family structure and have consequences on the balance of society” (Blog of Stéphanie Le Bars)

During the January 2015 attacks, he insists that all people, whether believers or non-believers, must be present at the January 11 demonstration. For Azzedine Gaci, these attacks “call into question social peace”.
