Assailants kidnapped two Egyptian army soldiers from the Ain Shams neighborhood of Cairo city, Cairo governorate, Egypt. The two soldiers, Samir Abdallah Ali and Azzam Hazem Ali, were forced to recite anti-military statements and statements supporting deposed president Mohamed Morsi over a loudspeaker. Both soldiers managed to escape with minor injures. No group claimed responsibility; however, authorities attributed the attack to the Muslim Brotherhood.
